Green Emerald Envy - Pantone 2013

Get ready to be green with envy because Pantone's 2013 color of the year is emerald (17-5641).
As outlined on the website  "A vivid verdant green, enhances our sense of well-being further by
inspiring insight  as well as promoting balance and harmony.  It is most often associated with brilliant, precious
gemstones, the perception of Emerald is sophisticated and luxurious. Since antiquity, this luminous, magnificent
hue has been the color of beauty and new life in many cultures and religions. It is also the color of growth, renewal
For centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity.
Here are some interesting interiors that might just push you over the edge
of envy and allow you to dive into the love of emerald green.

Using green decorative plates and images cut out of a magazine,
easily accessible and affordable - it's a great way to add pops
of the color without going whole hog!

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®
said "This powerful and universally-appealing tone translates easily to both
fashion and home interiors."
Here a gorgeous sexy gown and beautiful dangling earrings
show us how that's done.

Green painted walls envelope the bedroom in freshness

Not quite fifty shades of green here, but enough to inspire you.

A variation of chairs in green hues, a little bit of green goes a long way.

The next few images are beautiful puddles of emerald drapery.

I am impressed by the beauty of this combination of
deep grey and green. Who's have thunk it?

Surprising combinations of bold fuchsia and emerald green,
can't help but be cheery.

Find out more about this radiant jewel tone and its many applications in fashion,
beauty, home décor and design by visiting the Pantone website.

Then, let your imagination go wild!

Would you believe my Dad's favorite color? Out of the blue one day he said to my mom, Georgia, I want you to get something in green! I still remember this and it's like 10 years ago! Hilarious!

Imagine a total white room with some emerald green spots....I would love it!
Compliments for your blog; I have just discovered it...I will follow you!
