Oscar Wilde & Wall paper

Oscar Wilde (1854 – 1900), playwright and original thinker in his own right, was quoted as having said
"This wallpaper will be the death of me - one of us will have to go"

I am sure that he never thought that wallpaper would come in such lively patterns or pigments.  Being a lover of all things beautiful he would have adored this selection of gorgeous papers!

Nowadays we no longer have to consider killing ourselves over bad wallpaper, thank God!

Take a gander at these beauties and you'll understand where I am coming from.
The cool grey paisley here is elegant, refined and provides just the perfect background to the pitch black sofa table.

The Celadon color echoes the color of Spring beyond the window panes.

Moody modern mauve makes you want to sit and reflect.

A little 70's pattern is lively without being overpowering.

This graceful link creates a beautiful setting that is clean lined even though intricate.

I’m sure that Oscar is rolling in his grave, green with envy at what he has missed out on!
